Fun Friday
This came to my email today (special friend sent this) and I had to share with my RV/Family/non-RV friends because I love you all... A young lady confidently walked around the room while leading and explaining stress management to an audience; with a raised glass of water, and everyone knew she was going to ask the ultimate question, 'half empty or half full?'..... she fooled them all... "How heavy is this glass of water?", she inquired with a smile. Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz. She replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance. In each case it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." She continued, "and that's the way it is with stress. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on." "As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden - holding stress longer and better each time practiced. So, as early in the evening as you can, put all your burdens down. Don't carry them through the evening and into the night... pick them up tomorrow. Whatever burdens you're carrying now, let them down for a moment. Relax, pick them up later after you've rested. Life is short. Enjoy it and the now 'supposed' stress that you've conquered!" 1 * Accept the fact that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue! 2 * Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them. 3 * Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it. 4 * Drive carefully... It's not only cars that can be recalled by their Maker.. 5 * If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague 6 * If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.. 7 * It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others. 8 * Never buy a car you can't push. 9 * Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won't have a leg to stand on. 10 * Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance. 11 * Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late. 12 * The second mouse gets the cheese. 13 * When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane. 14 * Birthdays are good for you. RV Chore Sticks
So everyone seems to think that RV folks do nothing but sit around and lounge around all day long.. Well we do - BUT first thing is first.
Jorge and I want this summer to be a complete blast while working in ID - although until the first meeting we are not sure about the hours we'll be working and so we came up with a system that will help us with our goal..
Chore Sticks... Every night we will pick 6 chores sticks each for the morning routine of getting our RV in order so that will free us up for work and fun. Take a peek.
So now you see the chores that we have that are major issues for us... With these determined and out of the way - there is less room for arguments (coming from me because a dirty home can get me grumpy on a drop of a dime).... Plus we are a couple and believe in team work and making each other happy. A strange twist but one that works for us.... And everyday is a new adventure and we plan on living these words...
And so Jorge picked these sticks for tomorrow...
- Wash Dishes
- Clean Kitchen
- 20 Minute Massage Giver (yippee)
- Clean Bathroom
- Brush puppy furs
Not bad Jorge and congrats.... And this is what I got!
- Make Bed
- Shake Rugs
- Clean Fridge
- Breakfast
- Lunch
- Dinner (thank goodness for crock-pots)
And there you have it... A marriage again saved by pure fun!! And now that the chore sticks are in place it's off to have some fun!

How To Do A Campground Review
How to do a Campground Review.
This can be a sore spot on so many levels. Reviews written out in spite, because you didn't get your way or didn't step up to the plate to try to fix the problem - using your voice is a form of trying to fix the problem/issues you may have in a RV Park location - not all RV Park owners/workers are mind readers and I'm sorry no body is perfect not even you. If your offended by this then I'm guess you are part of the problem I am talking about. But if you have written a review that, you took yourself out of the picture and wrote the review from your heart in effort to help the RV Park that you stayed at - then by all means this does not pertain to you and you should be applauded for your love/professionalism or however you may want to word it. Because its those reviews that I look for and base my personal opinion on. After all peoples reputation are on the line here.
EXAMPLE 1
Complaining about a dog barking for instance and not telling the Park Owner as the problem is live in action - is your problem - just maybe the owners/workers can't hear the dang dog barking. And a real good helpful RV folk would fixed the problem by knocking on the door to see if they can help - who knows maybe the person with the barking dog is in a wheel chair and is waiting for the dog walker to show up. Or maybe its a medical trained dog trained to park until help comes. It often blows my mind that we put ourselves first and think last. Always the victim and the hero last, it seems. Again if your are the type to jump to help first and think last this does not pertain to you and again you should be applauded for your wonderful human nature.
EXAMPLE 2
OMG what a dirty bathroom... I see this one a lot on reviews. I find that most people who write these have very bad timing. Now I am sorry if you shower when every one else is showering the proof is in the pudding - it's gonna get messy. I personally have caught on to this and always, always, always ask any and every RV Park we've ever stayed at "WHAT TIME DO YOU CLEAN YOUR BATHROOMS?" And then I wait a half hour after they've cleaned to take my showers. If I can't then I keep my anger to none because its a no brainer that things just get messy. Now a proper review would be if I went in after the cleaning and the cleaning was done to the point that I can't take my shower and then I'd storm to the manager to "voice my attempt to fix the problem". If you use this theory with every avenue of your life - then your taking control of your drama and negative way of thinking. It's easy avoid the bad and embraces the good.
EXAMPLE 3
"What the Hell?" "A dumpster in my back yard?" again ask those questions because I'll bet there is a perfect reason for that dumpster being parked in your view and just ruining your view. Like in this case a fire. Lives where saved the night of the fire for smart thinking and fast reaction. Remember the whole possibility of your neighbor being in a wheel chair? Well try someone who was dying of "Cancer" in this case. You don't know your neighbors unless you make it a point to open your hearts.
IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE ONE DAY....
I am not saying sugar coat a review but use a calm collective common sense and really think - where you in any danger? where you really that neglected? Was the problem addressed and you where violated by ignorance and intentionally ignored. Is the complaint worth someone losing their job over - because in all honestly someone could loose their job over YOUR anger and you better make it worth it.
So I hope that my article helps even if it's just a little and most people do have common sense when it comes to writing reviews but there are those few who think the world is here to serve them. Newbies to RVing if you don't like the RV Park - here is the best tip I can give you. Leave!! Just get up and leave it's really that simple. When we where in Kervnville, CA I made the mistake of having my husband pay for the month before checking things out. It turned out the manager of the park was on the Megan's Law List https://www.meganslaw.com/ in which I made a promise to my family I would check no matter where we where.
Not only was the manager on the list but 6 other sick predators (who I do pray for - if anyone needs it - it would be the sickest sinners of the earth) and then we high tailed it out of there. But here is how we found out... A police officer crusied in the RV Park looking for someone and stopped my husband and asking for his ID - OK no problem we support the law to the fullest. It's what he said that pissed me off and I made it a point to let them know. They stated they where looking for someone who fits Jorge discription and had to make sure it wasn't him (the person they where looking for). My husband is 6 feet tall 180 lbs and BALD 100% - the guy they where looking for was 5'8 and a little over 200 lbs with long hair. I went off the handle and went on-line to look at what this town was all about. SICK!! I was so upset - that my husband was lied to by an officer of the law BULLIED big time.

So everyone that knows us and our furry children knows that JuneBug does not like Jorge and that Jorge does not like JuneBug so what is this? I really don't know it's just crazy and the fact that I caught it on camera is mind boggling. Not much to report today - it was a quiet relaxing day just crochet and Jorge making to do list for things that need to be done on the rig before we head off to ID....

What a cool afternoon. Chore shopping can always be an adventure here in Rufus (not our chores)... I can't remember what the names of the shops we went to for ummmmm parts (lol I don't even know - all I know is that, the part that was needed is not a common part)?

RV Church
Most people find it hard to go to church while living in a brick house (a house with NO wheels), for RV folks it's even worse - that is if you believe. For every town you pass through what church fits your belief and is the parking lot big enough to accommodate your rig and where is that church outfit just for Sunday sermons? Common questions I suppose. But then we live in an age where INET has a big play in our religious studies. Everything from free spirits to the most discipline church studies you can find on-line.
Jorge and I have struggled in this area for a long time. Family members have turned their backs on us because we don't follow their church standards. Which is sad a true child of God would never do such a cruel selfish thing. Jesus loves all sinners and sin come in all forms. We pray for them....
We do our studies as a married couple and we also do our studies as individual seeking comfort and knowledge in HIS word. http://www.bibleinayear.org/ Now this is not for everyone. God gave us all a gift called FREE WILL and through this we respect this gift as a gift of choice. Our choosing of how we will live our lives BUT a warning - what you choose you will have to answer for through death and when that moment comes, all chips are turned in. And so don't go thinking we are preachy because that's not for us to do. All walks of life should be respected for their own choices in life and we should concentrate on ourselves before even considering giving that sermon out. Jorge says the best way to be preachy is in not in the face but by example - much kinder, less drama, and with loyal love. He's a much better person then I am.
But on the road we haven't meet many people who celebrate the word of God but the bottle of booze (I'm not talking about a glass of wine here and there but a 30 pack in a day or two - blame the world for its problems and self lacking in human respect). The few we have meet have such beauty of free spirit and discipline character we are inspired by them.
This blog entry is not to be anything but about personal thoughts and about how we view things and so I will stick to that. We pray at every meal even when going out (we just say our prayer silent because we do this for ourselves) to dinner or such. We give thanks to each and every blessing no matter how big or small and so we tend to chat to God as much as we communicate to each other and Jorge says more to be honest.
We are at a RV park where a miracle happen - our biggest blessing because the outcome could of killed so many people including our dear friends. He is here and he is in each of us if we just look and except. Here I go getting preachy again. It's my prayer for the world...

RV Bumper Stickers
So LW and RL (Lovely Woman & Real Leader) came back today from some much needed fun - not that we aren't fun lol but for gypsy fun and seeing good friends (pray for their puppy - poor thing has a tumor and needs to get better before they can take that damn evil thing out).
And we had a goodies bag! OMG I love goodies bags.... I got lots of blog topics for future blogs and lemon grass in which they went all over God's creation to find (it's for my Chicken Curry meal which is just as good if not better then the restaurants) and best of all BUMPER STICKERS. Thank you so much our list keeps growing as to why we love you two so and it ain't for your purple little tow either lol.... but truly thank you so much we love everything!!

Our New Coffee Machine
As a RV full timer, products in the RV come and go. So is it worth it to spend top dollars on kitchen gear? YES and NO... Since we started full-timing we have gone through at least 4 electric plug-ins coffee units (and remember at least 70% since we started was Boondocking - that's camping with out any electrical hookups). They have been cheap and easy. Which brings us to our current purchase of a DCM2500B BLACK AND DECKER http://www.blackanddecker.com/ 12 cup Coffee Maker. We needed to be on the cheap end because of our lack of winter funds and have to use caution when making any kind of purchased period.
Jorge and some of our friends went to FredMeyer http://www.fredmeyer.com/ and they came upon the Black and Decker DCM2500B coffee maker. It retailed for $34.99. and it just so happen to be on sale for $19. Heck yes that's a good deal. BUT wait. Not only was it on sale but FredMeyer has a customer reward program where your purchases earn you points and so a BONUS to the purchase. BUT wait there is still more. NO TAX? How did this happen. A straight $19.00 for a coffee maker? Yep I kid you not. And so off to the coffee aisle the next day to get our long long list of coffee supplies and so much happiness in our steps BECAUSE you see both Jorge and I love love love love love love coffee.

What a wonderful day we had today...
First we slept in till 5am (I know that sounds crazy but we went to sleep around 9pm) and slept all night with out having to hear the plow trucks and traffic. Then we had our morning coffee made by Jorge and awwwwww took a good long look out the window and just stood there with ear to ear grins loving the view. I then hopped back in bed to watch a video (The War Wagon) - we love John Wayne B movies and all. Jorge took each girl out for their walks and just loved the peace of the area.
As much as I would like to brag about todays adventure "I won't". I have to back track a bit and share our adventures of us getting here. And well a picture speaks a thousand words... Enjoy the pictures and come back tomorrow for todays adventures... Tonight I have to work on my crochet Shamrock order and then spend some quality time with my loved ones, Jorge, Milita, SnowPea and JuneBug and smiling because just across the way our friends are parked in who we adore with all of our hearts. Live your dream and not someone elses and if your lucky like I you'll have a spouse that shares the same dream....
