Rain City

It's been raining and we don't mind a bit. We have the prettiest wild flowers you can ever imagine and I am spoiled because I have a husband who lives for picking and surprising me with them.... Life is good!! We however miss our winter boss and can't wait to get our inet back to where I can email and blog daily. We have ordered a new broadband stick and hope to have that in and up and running soon!! I came back on line to several emails and comments from well wishers and it's nice to be missed and we thank you for the love and support our blogging family and wonderful friends!!

Idaho

Hey folks. So sorry we have no inet and won't for a good week or two. We have to pay a big lump of money to have our service re-activated. So we'll have to hold off for a bit. The new company we are working for - we haven't started yet and they only pay once a month so we need to keep our cash flow as is till pay day (I love the once a month payment - save us from spending money - bingo).... Life is great up here in Rathdrum. We have our first company meeting on Wednesday and we'll get to meet the entire gang. So far we love everyone we've meet. And by golly the company has a super super super management staff. Drama? Heck NO...
Our location is up in the mountain and we have lots of wild life there - so far we've seen frogs, turkeys. moose, bear (they are super super tiny compared to Mammoth Lakes, bears but these are super wild and so no more fears), quails.

Moving Day Today

We are only going a 110 miles today... So it's going to be an easy day. That's just what we like...
We would like to thank everyone for the prayers and well wishes. We are so excited to be heading to work. A paying gig is always a good a thing.

We hope we will have wifi later so I can post some of today's pictures... But we'll have to see!! Wishing all those RV folks who in travel mode today a safe trip and those who are parked are having a blast. Be good kids!!

Gearing Up

Well it's Hitch Itch getting ready to be Itched tomorrow... Real quick I would like to thank this site for having our blog on there - we have made some wonderful friends because of this RV network http://www.hitchitch.com/ . We leave in the morning to head to Idaho for the summer. We have friends there waiting for us (and boy is it nice to be wanted)...

So today is about giving thanks and cleaning and packing and sorting and all of that wonderful stuff that has to do with RV living. But here is the kicker - it's raining. And oh my the dogs still need to be groomed - all of their winter hair is just flying off of them. So it's relax time until we finish up with our 2nd cup of coffee. And we hope that rains quite for awhile. I'm thinking it won't...

With today being Sunday we would like to share this in honor of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Prayer Before Travel
Lord, be with me as I prepare for travel. Calm my fears so that I can begin this trip rested in mind and body. Keep me alert for any dangerous situations I might encounter so that I might arrive at my destination unharmed and secure in the knowledge that, when my trip is over, You will always be there to guide me safely. Amen.

We say this for ourselves and for all of our RV friends on the road... Be safe dear friends!!

Grass VS Entering My RV

Rufus has been cutting a lot of grass in the last couple of weeks. This was from when Jorge got out there to do some cutting or more like playing. Rufus RV Park takes their yard work VERY serious and you can count on Randy being out there every day working the yard....

Oh by the way I had Jorge's bag packed with his clean clothes - flip flops (don't ever shower in a public shower house NO matter how clean it looks - warts and other things are hidden from the human eye and you don't want to take the chance of ever going through that kind of hell), soap, shaver and all waiting for him at the door. I love our marriage and will do what ever I can to see Jorge doesn't cause a divorce LOL....

Word (Funny Friday)

WORDS

A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a day...
30000 to a man's 15000.
The wife replied 'The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men....
The husband then turned to his wife and asked 'What?'

How to Fight (Funny Friday)

WIFE VS. HUSBAND

A couple drove down a country road for several miles not saying a word.
An earlier discussion had led to an argument and
Neither of them wanted to concede their position.
As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats and pigs the husband asked sarcastically 'Relatives of yours?'

'Yep' the wife replied 'in-laws.'

Blogger

Sorry folks - for some reason blogger has deleted the last post and it's going to take me a day or so to catch up on things in the blogging world. I have read a lot of your blogs (the ones on my blog list) and I did not leave comment in fear they would be deleted with all the blogger maint going on. I am sure glad they are done...
On a fun note we only have 3 more sleeping days here in Rufus. I am giving a big shout out to my friend to let her know she is missed and I hope she has a good time with her family and that we are thinking of her. And that OMG her husband is working non-stop!! Love ya...

Just 4 more Night

Last night we spent some time over at the bosses rig which is always entertaining because of their beautiful singing dog. Half the party was leaving town and we won't get to see her again until Oct. This is one of the times that your excited about hitting a new adventure and I am - it's just that I am going to miss these wonderful couple.

I am excited because we have some sneaky projects we are working on and will have completed before we get back and that will be a lot of sneaky fun... I can't share because they read our blog - one of best loyal readers... Thank you for that!!

But yes we only have 4 nights left in Rufus before heading to Idaho and I'm always a little nervous meeting the new boss and their crew - our rig isn't the prettiest and far from fancy. I know Sue, I am getting that out of my head... I guess I am just ready to upgrade - we need the room!!

I am most excited about getting back on my bike and getting back into our biking for charity. What we do is either, knit, crochet or loom (my husband will loom)  items and since we've improved in different area this year we'll add bibs, diaper covers and bears to the must make and get donated by bike. We will log our miles all this summer and I will up-date the size bar getting you all informed. We hope to collect a little in donation for a coffee treat while we are on our bikes...

Also if anyone is interested in donating yarns (last year we got 3 boxes donated) they can mail them to this address:

Change in our Blog

It's that time again. Things have yet changed yet again. I was with AdSense and the program just didn't work well for us and so now I am with something that will really works for my page. I know I have several friends, family members and even fans that are always trying to support our way of living while on the road and here I've listed some ways to do that... With gas price as high as they are traveling to work is major! And so in advance I do thank you from the heart!!

Buy something I have made.

I have my MrsCraftyRVing etsy Store, and two more Etsy shops filled with things to choose from.

Support one of my sponsors.

In the area of the right sidebar marked “participats” you will find  small one-person businesses 30-day advertising sponsorships. Clicking on any of these spots and making a purchase either encourages the sponsors to continue to advertise, or earns me a small commission (depending on the type of ad).

Advertise!

You could have one of the above mentioned spots for your own business.

Buy a book from my Amazon associated shop.

If you’re going book shopping anyway, you might as well send a tiny commission my way, right? It doesn’t cost you anything extra.

Buy a little something from my wish list.

Do you know how thrilled I would be to get an unexpected treat in the mail, especially one that I’ve been daydreaming about? Very! Oh, and I am a big supporter of buying crafts. So that yarns and crafty kits will always be on my wish list for life? And well you all now Jorge is my sewing king.

Buy me a cup of coffee. (as much as I love StarBucks we are talking about FOLGERS - keeps me home and keeps me at my campfire)...

A few dollars in my PayPal account so I could make a cup of coffee before  heading out on a hike in the afternoon? Yummy. The button below will take you to my PayPal tip jar (aka “coffee fund”).

My RV made Bear

The days are just flying by - We have 1 week left till we start heading off to "OUR" summer work. This summer will be different from what Jorge was doing last summer. I will get more into that when we start. We have had the best time in the last two months and we expect the fun to continue the entire summer. We are excited to be biking for charity again soon too. We can't do that here in Rufus because well they are pretty far from the hospital - but this summer we'll be no more then 10 miles one way from the hospital where we can drop off our handmade items. This year we'll be doing bears and hats... So not much to report but I will include my very first bear in which I did wrong but not to worry lol the new ones look nothing like this... We live and learn!!

Need Washing RV Folks?

Sent to me by email... Wanted and felt the need to share!! Happy Sunday and may the Blessing come in the form of happy tears my dear RV Friends!! And also wishing all you Mum's a Very Happy Mother's Day...
NEED WASHING?
A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in Wal-Mart. She must have been 6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence.
It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the spout.. We all stood there, under the awning, just inside the door of the WalMart.

We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their hurried day.
I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day.

Her little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were all caught in, 'Mom let's run through the rain,'

she said.

'What?' Mom asked.

'Let's run through the rain!' She repeated.

'No, honey. We'll wait until it slows down a bit,' Mom replied.

This young child waited a minute and repeated: 'Mom, let's run through the rain..'

'We'll get soaked if we do,' Mom said.

'No, we won't, Mom. That's not what you said this morning,' the young girl said as she tugged at her Mom's arm.

'This morning? When did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet?'

'Don't you remember? When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer, you said,
' If God can get us through this, He can get us through anything! ' '

The entire crowd stopped dead silent.. I swear you couldn't hear anything but the rain.. We all stood silently. No one left. Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she would say.
Now some would laugh it off and scold her for being silly. Some might even ignore what was said. But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child's life. A time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will bloom into faith.

Honey, you are absolutely right. Let's run through the rain. If GOD let's us get wet, well maybe we just need washing,' Mom said.

Then off they ran. We all stood watching, smiling and laughing as they darted past the cars and yes, through the puddles. They got soaked.

They were followed by a few who screamed and laughed like children all the way to their cars. And yes, I did.

I ran. I got wet. I needed washing.

Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions, they can take away your money, and they can take away your health. But no one can ever take away your precious memories...So, don't forget to make time and take the opportunities to make memories everyday.
To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.

I HOPE YOU STILL TAKE THE TIME TO RUN THROUGH THE RAIN.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them.
Send this to the people you'll never forget and remember to also send it to the person who sent it to you. It's a short message to let them know that you'll never forget them.

If you don't send it to anyone, it means you're in a hurry.

Take the time to live!!!
Keep in touch with your friends, you never know when you'll need each other --

and don't forget to run in the rain!

Mammoth Lakes Heaven and Earth Energy Jewelry

The best thing about Mammoth Lakes is the people there! I am all the way in Oregon and they still keep in touch with us and I love them and miss them so much.

So in honor of our friend Robin who so rocks - I want to share with my RV friends her store info... And yes we can still be glammor while in the middle of the woods!!

Robin Stater’s Heaven and Earth energy jewelry is the latest creative adventure in a life long personal expression of creativity.
Starting with her grandmother Louise’s example, Robin started creating works of art as early as four years old. In her teen and adult life, Robin has been drawn to the intuitive approach to mystical studies. She also has a magical connection to nature and has lived in the Sierra Nevada mountain range her entire adult life. You can read the rest of her wonderful story right on her web page

And so as I was shopping her web store - I picked out my favorite item of hers and by the way is the in color for this year....

Fun Friday

This came to my email today
 (special friend sent this)
and I had to share with my
RV/Family/non-RV friends
because I love you all...
A young lady confidently walked around the room while leading and explaining stress management to an audience; with a raised glass of water, and everyone knew she was going to ask the ultimate question, 'half empty or half full?'..... she fooled them all... "How heavy is this glass of water?", she inquired with a smile.
Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz.
She replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance. In each case it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." She continued, "and that's the way it is with stress. If we carry our
burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on."
"As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden - holding stress longer and better each time practiced. So, as early in the evening as you can, put all your burdens down. Don't carry them through the evening and into the night... pick them up tomorrow.
Whatever burdens you're carrying now, let them down for a moment. Relax, pick them up later after you've rested. Life is short. Enjoy it and the now 'supposed' stress that you've conquered!"

1 * Accept the fact that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue!
2 * Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.
3 * Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.
4 * Drive carefully... It's not only cars that can be recalled by their Maker..
5 * If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague
6 * If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it..
7 * It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
8 * Never buy a car you can't push.
9 * Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won't have a leg to stand on.
10 * Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.
11 * Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.
12 * The second mouse gets the cheese.
13 * When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
14 * Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.
15 * You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.

16 * Some mistakes are too much fun to make only once.

17 * We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

18 * A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

19 * Have an awesome day and know that someone has thought about you today.
It was I, your friend!
*Save the earth..... It's the only planet with chocolate !*

RV Pillow

PERFORMANCE ENHANCER

I have had it....

I really need a new pillow. The problem is I have too many!! Too many of the wrong pillows. I have been waking up a lot in the middle of the night - oh course having coffee at 10pm is not always a wise thing to do.
But last night I was working on my other blog http://handmadecraftsdonewhilerving.blogspot.com/
and I couldn't get my video to upload and it took hours I kid you not to finally get so ticked off that I finally went to www.youtube.com and set up an account and uploaded my video and place it on my blog that way. Oh my goodness it was after 2am that I hit the hay only to be woken up by Jorge's alarm at 6:30am...
I was so upset I only had 6 views of my new video. eeek oh well!! Back to pillows...

WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Check out my question of the day and perhaps you could help!!

RV first Day Memories

PERFORMANCE ENHANCER

As I am typing this I noticed that we have 7,932 blog views - hey that's not bad. I have also noticed too a growing number of RV folks stopping by to say hi or to give us some GREAT tips and we are so blessed by this. We when bought Mr Crafty (the ladies from campground_crafters named our rig) it was back in Florida and we thought by now we'd update to newer version of our dream. But nope we still have Mr. Crafty and he sure ain't pretty to look at but sure has been good to us over the last two years.
The very first guest we had in Mr. Crafty was Sue and Bob when we where back in Miami. And Sue and Bob are on the road making their way to Idaho to work for the same company as us. Now how cool is that?

Flash Back to our very first day leaving Florida, when our rig broke down - and boy did I ever cry - the tow guy told my husband that I was the funniest gal he ever meet. I kid you not.... I am crying and screaming at poor Jorge stating "I don't want to go back to Miami" - Thank gosh all it was was the belts. Fixed for extra money and back on the road again and haven't looked back. Miami is pretty but it's just not for me. I didn't fit it at all. And what was awesome is that Jorge said it changed so much that after being far away he too had a dream to be anywhere but there. Although we have family there and it would be the only reason we would ever go back and that's JUST to VIST...
I can laugh now and have nothing but good memories of that first leg of our trip. Oh gosh just days later we where stuck in the middle of flipping blizzard in South Dakota - I gave a whole new meaning to dressing in funk just to stay warm.

Oh the memories and now we are making more wonderful memories all because of our RV friends we call Family... Thank you for all the kindness and the time you take just to see what we are up too...
